As the second day of the GECO Expo unfolds, we present the agenda for the third day, tomorrow, March 3rd.
Time: 9:30 - 10:50
Sustainability in agribusiness is closely linked to innovation. The creation of new models of sustainable development depends on the correct use and large-scale implementation of technologies that succeed in combining respect for the environment, social and financial sustainability, and collaboration between industry professionals. How can we capitalise on these new forms of innovation?
We will discuss this with Simona Mincione, EU r&d project manager at ENCO SRL, Veronica Lattanzio, First researcher - coordinator of the National Research Council - Institute of Food Production Sciences - FoodSafey4EU, Elena Cadel, senior researcher for Fondazione Barilla, and Sara Roversi, president of the Future Food Institute. The round table will be moderated by journalist and communication manager Domenico Letizia.
Time: 10:50 - 11:10
Home economics used to be taught in schools, and although this is no longer the case, the activities associated with running our household still occupy a significant part of our time and have an impact on our well-being. It is essential, nowadays, to think about the sustainability of seemingly straightforward activities such as cleaning, ironing, and cooking. Evekeia does just that, drawing on the knowledge of home economics to help us make our daily lives sustainable.
This smart talk is presented by Rosaria Rogasi, CEO of Evekeia, who is also a home economics and health educator, and Salvatore Insolia, president of Evekeia, who also describes himself as a comic book enthusiast and facilitator with a passion for sustainability
Time: 11:15 – 12:30
This round table is sponsored by Urban Vision, a media company that has always been engaged in environmental policies and climate protection. The aim of the event is to share the study conducted by SDA Bocconi School of Management - Sustainability Lab in the Research Observatory "Monitor for Circular Fashion" (www.sdabocconi.it/circularfashion) with the support of Enel X, sharing methods and best practices. During the debate, we will discuss circular economy in the fashion industry, with the participation of one of the brands involved in the study.
The moderator will be Claudia Lubelli, marketing business development manager at Neutralia srl. Speakers will include Gianluca De Marchi, CEO and co-founder of Urban Vision, Nicola Tagliafierro, head of sustainability at Enel X, Francesca Romana Rinaldi, director of the monitor for circular fashion at the SDA Bocconi School of Management, and Marco Guazzoni, sustainability director at Vibram.
Time: 14:15 - 15:30
The issue of food waste is an urgent and important one on the path to sustainability: billions of Euros are lost every year to food waste alone throughout the supply chain, both in domestic consumption and other stages of the food cycle. How can this crisis be tackled and how can the production, distribution, and consumption of food, at every stage of the supply chain, be optimised? This includes all aspects of sustainability, from renewable energy to water conservation to the purchasing choices we all make.
We will talk about it with Cristina Gabetti, journalist, coach, speaker, and moderator, Guendalina Graffigna, professor at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Camilla Serra, area manager for the north-west of Too Good To Go, and with star chef Stefano Masanti of CHIC - Charming Italian Chef. Angelo Spina, managing partner of Proserpina BS Srl Soc. Benefit, will be moderating the debate.
Time: 15:30 – 15:50
In this green talk we will discuss agrifood, taking into account different aspects, from the perspective of farmers to that of consumers and tourism professionals, who are increasingly making sustainable choices that include access to local products and slow food. We will talk about this with EquaZone, a platform that activates proximity circuits in agriculture, offers sustainable tourism solutions by allowing accommodation facilities to offer local activities and experiences, and ultimately helps reduce waste by creating people-centred experiences.
The project will be presented by EquaZone CEO, Giampaolo Bianchi
Time: 16:00 - 17:00
Journalist Domenico Letizia will moderate the event. Speakers on the panel will be Andrea Fedrizzi, marketing and communications manager of Consorzio Melinda, Maurizio Gritta, president of Iris Bio, Alberto Claudio Tremolada, trade show supervisor and manager for Adaci and Metatech Group Fonderie, Guido Cencini, lca & forestry strategist of ZeroCO2
Time: 17:15 - 18:30
Renewable energies are at the heart of the sustainability debate. What are the available options and what are their economic, logistical and social implications? How are they changing the industrial landscape and how does their implementation affect a country's economic growth and development?
We will be discussing this topic with Angelo Consoli, president of Cetri-Tires, Alessandro Scipioni, from the technical, regulatory and normative affairs area of Elettricità Futura, Davide Astiaso Garcia, secretary general of ANEV - the National Wind Energy Association, Antonio di Cosimo, president of the EBS Association, and Vincenzo Soprano, strategic advisor to Renexia Spa. The debate will be moderated by Enrico Flavio Giangreco, economic journalist and professor of communication and marketing.
